Fairy Friday! Backyard Fairies - Friday October 30th

Join us for our first ever FAIRY FRIDAY!

Every Friday will be a bit more magical with our weekly fairy theme!

Here's what is included:

• Two hours of hands-on learning.
• Read aloud of, Backyard Fairies by Phoebe Wahl. Backyard Fairies tells the tale of a group of children on the search for fairies in their own backyard. While the fairies are hidden in plain sight, the children find their own magic along the way.
• A book talk where we discuss setting and inferencing.
• Students will decorate their very own fairy trinket box! It's just big enough to hold their own small treasures (about 3 inches wide).

• A guided walk through the field with some "hidden fairy trinkets" to start their collection! *If weather is poor, the trinkets will be hidden in the studio.
• As always, Fairy Friday will end with a fairy tea party! Each student will receive a cup of tea and a treat while will daydream about our own Backyard Fairies! *Please note any allergies in the "notes" section.

• Why: I am a former first grade teacher who LOVES creating with my kids. Our oldest turned 5 over the summer and I wanted to start lessons with her to prepare her for kindergarten next year. Life is better with friends, so we wanted to invite you as well!

Perfection is not guaranteed, expected, or even pursued! We celebrate every artist, no matter their skill-level or personal pace.
